PEACE 1-2-3+: The Peace Operating System
The PTP Peace Operating System includes two tools for inner Peace and a tool to bring your Peace out into the world. The International Day of Peace anchors our Peace into our global community. These tools work together to create Peace in our lives, Peace in our relationships, and Peace in our world.
The Peace Operating Tools are:
Holding a vision of Peace is where our inner Peace begins. “Imagine a World” is a vision of Peace that can be used as a meditation to anchor the Peace within, or printed and posted to keep Peace alive in our thoughts and daily lives.
Daily practice nurtures and expands our inner Peace. The PeaceWave is a simple daily practice, at 12:00 noon in every time zone, creating a wave of Peace around our world. Since 1983, people around our world have paused at 12:00 noon to honor a “minute of silence/a moment of Peace.” When we pause for Peace at 12:00 noon, we are joining that wave of energy that encircles our planet. Can you imagine it? As we practice the PeaceWave, we are nurturing our inner Peace, while also feeding the field of Peace.
If we wish to bring our inner Peace out into the world, The Peace Wheel is a tool for organizing, connecting, and making a difference. The Peace Wheel is a model for Peacebuilding, developed by Pathways To Peace and activated over the last 35 years. It consists of eight sectors, or pathways, that are interconnected. The 8 pathways recognize and engage all people as peacebuilders. These pathways transcend national, ethnic, racial, religious, age, identity, or gender differences; they are common to every society. The rainbow-hued interlocking infinity symbols, aligned to the four directions, circle out and back to the green mother center which is Earth. These infinity symbols include all circles of life and all expressions within their embrace. The protective, mothering spirit of Nature, strong in Law and seemingly eternal in patience, encircles each individual living entity, urging each one along its own evolutionary pathway. “PEACE” is recognized as both an innate state of Being, and a dynamic evolutionary process wherein constructive growth can occur and the children of this and future generations may gain hope to inherit a better world – a world at Peace.
Lastly, the UN International Day of Peace is our time to celebrate and anchor global Peace and Unity by connecting to our global community. The International Day of Peace (Peace Day) is celebrated every year on September 21st. Three billion people celebrate Peace Day in almost all countries around the world. The HeartMath Institute measures the uplifted planetary frequency that occurs on Peace Day each year and encourages us to engage in practices that raise our vibratory rate with feelings like love, care, compassion, kindness, gratitude and forgiveness. “As more people consciously raise their vibration by practicing these heart qualities, it inspires even more people to do the same. Together we can open our hearts and co-create an effective peaceful momentum for getting along with each other. This frees up our collective creativity for coherent solutions and intuitive guidance to manifest a world we can all thrive in, while respecting our differences. Peace is an after-glow from increasing our heart directed choices.” By engaging in local, national, or international Peace Day activities, you will be joining a global community that is anchored in Peace.
The above tools constitute the Peace Operating System.
When practiced with intention, you will experience Peace.
You are a pathway to peace!
