Jennifer Mauro
Jennifer Mauro is a career journalist currently working in Catholic communications. Her passion is writing about social justice issues and sharing the life stories of those she meets — in hopes of underscoring humanity’s similarities, not differences.
Jennifer grew up in Texas and earned a bachelor of communications degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has lived on the East Coast for 20 years, working in the secular press before becoming managing editor of a Catholic diocesan magazine in New Jersey.
Living abroad for two years in Bavaria, Germany, with her husband, Jennifer had the true blessing of traveling to more than 20 countries. Experiencing different cultures, faiths, art, music, food and more only opened her eyes to one basic belief: our lived experiences may be different, but at our core, we want similar goals in life — food on the table, a shelter over our heads, a family to love and keep safe.
It’s with these things in mind that she is proud to use her skills with Pathways to Peace. In 2020, she was honored to be a Pathways to Peace delegate, presenting at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW64) on the topic of Technology for All Generations.
