Pathways To Peace (PTP) has been actively engaged in Peacebuilding at the United Nations and beyond for over 40 years, through peace education, developing youth activists, and on-the-ground projects and programs that bring peace and eliminate barriers to peace. Why doesn’t peace prevail on earth?
There appears to be more violence in our world today than at any other time in recent history. Violent wars and conflicts, violence in our media, violence from our leaders, and violence in our homes and relationships. We know that there are pockets of peace in our world today, indigenous and other communities who embrace peace through unity. And many others are surfacing with the knowledge and action that will ultimately bring peace to our planet, as grounded in unitive consciousness and action.
At PTP, we dedicate ourselves to creating a world that works for all. We recognize that at the root of violence lies the myth of separation. That we have been taught that we are separate from each other, from all sentient beings, from our planet, and our Universe.
A new story of our inherent unity has emerged – we now know that we are connected to everyone and everything!

Emerging science, indigenous wisdom, and sacred texts have merged to create a new story of our existence, that we are not separate from each other, all sentient beings, and the planet – we are inherently interconnected. When we fully embrace and embody this evidence-based truth, it changes everything! If I fully embrace that everything that hurts my brothers and sisters hurts me, how does that change my attitude about others? If I know that causing harm to other people, sentient beings, and our planet causes harm to me, how does that change my behavior and the everyday choices I make?

Our work for peace must include a focus on expanding unitive consciousness and shifting our global community into a unitive world view. This is what is needed for us to achieve our vision of a World at Peace.
PTP is a United Nations (UN) Peace Messenger Organization in consultation with ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) and DGC (Department of Global Communications). However, our work is both at the UN and beyond – into programs and projects around the world. We bring our commitment to expanding unitive consciousness and shifting worldview into all of our peacebuilding.
