WHO WE ARE
Pathways To Peace (PTP) is an international peacebuilding organization dedicated to fostering a Culture of Peace — a world where respect, cooperation, and shared humanity replace conflict and division. Founded on the principle that peace is both an inner and outer process, PTP bridges the gap between grassroots action and global policy.
Through education, collaboration, programming, and advocacy, Pathways To Peace empowers individuals, communities, and institutions to create systemic change. It acts as a catalyst and connector, aligning diverse peace initiatives across cultures, sectors, and generations.
For decades, PTP has served as a United Nations Peace Messenger Organization, in consultation with ECOSOC and DGC, amplifying civil society’s role in advancing the U.N.’s goals, including the International Day of Peace (September 21) and the Culture of Peace movement.
Pathways To Peace stands out as a global connector, educator, and catalyst — transforming peace from an ideal into a lived reality, from the individual to the international level. PTP is a tax-exempt, Social Impact organization, 501(c)(3) Corporation, (tax-exempt ID# 68-0015625).
WHAT WE DO
Pathways To Peace serves a distinctive position in the global peace landscape through its integrative and collaborative approach:
- 🌍 Bridge Between the Local and the Global:
PTP connects community-based peacebuilders with international frameworks such as the United Nations, giving grassroots voices a seat at the global table. - 🤝 Network Builder and Convenor:
Rather than working in isolation, PTP fosters partnerships among NGOs, governments, educators, and activists — helping peace efforts align rather than compete. - 💡 Educational and Transformative Focus:
It advances peace not only as the absence of conflict but as a living system built on justice, sustainability, and interconnection. PTP integrates personal transformation with social and structural change. - 🌱 On-the-Ground Programs Where Peace Is Most Needed:
PTP supports peacebuilding initiatives in communities experiencing conflict, inequity, or trauma — turning local challenges into models for global learning. - 🌐 Advocate for the Culture of Peace:
PTP uniquely frames peace as a living, evolving culture—a collective process that encompasses inner development, inclusive dialogue, and systemic change.
