On this day, September 21, 2026, I am thinking, feeling, remembering with my/our hearts, the memory & initiative created, that being ‘Pathways to Peace’ & ‘We The Peoples’,by our dear friend & colleague, the late, beautiful soul, Avon Mattison.

We collaborated thru & at gatherings of & prior to The United Nations Earth Summit in 1992. Avon donated by providing my late husband, pianist-composer Franko Richmond & me, Gail Lima, to meet with producers Hal Uplinger & Mishka Harnden in Manaus, Brazil to create our concert in The Opera House with 150  international students from all over the Earth, reforesting the Amazon Rainforest. Our international environmental theme song about the environment called, The Time Has Come/Chegou a Hora’ was performed in Portuguese, Spanish & English by the students in The Manaus Opera House. It was a wonderful collaboration  & televised to many countries.

May Peace Prevail On Earth…in the memory of Avon Mattison & All who worked for Peace on Earth…most needed now. BE AT PEACE, Gail Lima
