Betsabe Reyna, Pathways To Peace Youth Delegate

Betsabe Reyna is a Youth Delegate for Pathways To Peace. Her passion and goal is to raise awareness and to propose solutions for regions afflicted with religious conflict. With Pathways To Peace, Betsabe has attended conferences at the United Nations Headquarters, including the UN International Youth Day: Youth Building Peace Conference. This event inspired her to speak to other students and youth in her community, encouraging them to become vocal and active in peacefully fighting for what is right, through truth and love. A spokesperson for UNICEF Voices of Youth, Betsabe collaborated with Calvary Chapel Old Bridge to spread love, restoration and hope across many countries. Ms. Reyna has prepared individuals to better serve refugees requiring humanitarian aid. Thus, she is known to be one of the youngest professionals in her area of solutions in humanitarian studies.

While studying theology in the United Kingdom, Betsabe also traveled throughout Europe, including to Greece where she served as a first responder in the largest, nongovernmental refugee camp in Athens, back in 2015. Recently, she returned from Turkey where she assisted unregistered refugees in receiving basic humanitarian aid. She was and remains driven by the call for human rights of persecuted peoples who are forced to flee their homes. Betsabe currently resides in New Jersey and is pursuing a political science degree. Consistently active in university clubs, she also looks forward to pursuing a future Ph.D. in Middle Eastern studies whilst building her career within the United Nations. As an active global citizen, she seeks to combat crises with sustainable dialogue. Through dialogue, she hopes to ascertain solutions and consequently, to generate a peaceful revolution. Ms. Reyna encourages all to take action in helping youth to grow and to learn in order to curate stronger future generations who exhibit understanding and can persevere, together.
