Katie Karr

Katie Karr has been a PTP program coordinator and UN rep since January 2020.  She graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in Sociology and a minor in History.  During her time at Rutgers, she pledged the Alpha Chi Omega sorority where she worked in recruitment and on the new member team.  She also was the Dance Marathon liaison where she set up fundraisers for the Embrace Kids Foundation.  During her time at Rutgers, she also worked as the Juvenile Arthritis Intern for the Arthritis Foundation.

Katie moved to London in 2010 to attend Webster University at Regents College and obtained two Masters Degrees in International Relations and Non-Governmental Organizations.  During her time in London, she served as the Vice President of the Webster student council.  Her thesis “The Lost Children of Britain” was published in the Oxford Monitor on Forced Migration.

After graduate school, she began to work in Human Services in New Jersey until 2016.  She currently works at the Division of Property Management and Construction for the State of New Jersey as a lead analyst.  In 2019 she was a UN youth rep for Operation Peace through Unity.
